City of Report: Mena, AR
Contact: Polk County Sheriff's Office (501) 394-2511 or Arkansas State Police (800) 553-3820
Circumstances: Arkansas State Police Special Agents were contacted by Polk County Sheriff's Deputies at Mena on Saturday, January 27th after a search of the Queen Wilhelmina Lodge area failed to produce any clues into the whereabouts of Gloria White Moore McDonald, 68, of Mena. McDonald had traveled the same day to the lodge with her husband, step-son and a friend of the step-son. The group arrived about noon and set-out hiking along one of the nature trails that borders the lodge property atop Rich Mountain. About 150 yards into the hike, McDonald told the group she was returning to the lodge because of trees that were blocking parts of the trail. The three others proceeded along the trail ending their hike about a half-hour later.
Upon returning to the lodge the family and friend were unable to locate McDonald. The car the group had traveled in to the lodge was parked where it had been originally left and McDonald's purse was locked inside. A search of the car indicated none of McDonald's personal belonging were missing. Repeated aerial and ground searches of the area have failed to produce any evidence that would explain what happened to McDonald. McDonald was described by her family at the time of the disappearance as being in good physical condition. Weighing about 120 pound and standing 5-feet, 6-inches tall, McDonald was wearing a bright yellow hooded jacket, blue plaid shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes when she was last seen. McDonald was carrying a Minolta Riva Zoom 90 camera at the time of the disappearance.

City of Report: Alma, AR
Contact: Arkansas State Police (800) 553-3820
Circumstances: Investigators from the multiple law enforcement agencies assigned to the Morgan Nick abduction case have updated their files to include a new sketch of an unknown man wanted for questioning in connection with the disappearance of the child. Morgan Nick was abducted from a baseball field at Alma on June 9th 1995. Early on in the search for the six-year-old child, police developed information about a man seen at the ball park who may have been in an older model faded red Ford pick-up truck.
The unknown man was described at the time as Caucasian, approximately six-feet tall, in his late 20's or early 30's, muscular build with short dark colored, or black hair and a short mustache and beard (3 to 4 day growth of facial hair). The man was wearing only cut-off blue jean shorts (no shirt or shoes). Individuals who saw the man say his chest was "hairy" and his voice/dialect pattern was described as "hillbilly".
Witnesses also report the pick-up truck the man was seen near or in had a camper shell with windows, covered by curtains, possibly on both sides of the truck. Since the abduction, several age enhanced photographs of Morgan as she might appear today have been developed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. For more information about the Morgan Nick case and age enhanced photographs, visit the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children website. There is a $60,000 reward offered for information to anyone who can give investigators information that will help solve the case. If you know anything about this case, please contact the Arkansas State Police via e-mail or by calling the telephone number below.

City of Report: Lonoke, AR
Contact: Arkansas State Police (800) 553-3820
Circumstances: The Arkansas State Police and Lonoke County Sheriff's Department continue to follow-up on leads involving the case of Matthew "Matt" Pendergrast. Local authorities discovered Pendergrast's abandoned sport utility vehicle December 1st off Kerr Road, approximately one and a half miles north of Interstate 40, in Western Lonoke County. The Arkansas State Police is treating the investigation as a missing person case.
Pendergrast, a Rhodes College (Memphis, Tennessee) senior, departed his home at Memphis about 7:30 on the morning of December 1st. Later that afternoon his vehicle and clothes were found near a remote section of a bayou frequently used by hunters. Searches of the waterway and surrounding area have failed to turn-up any evidence that would explain what happened to Pendergrast.
A $15,000 reward has been offered by Pendergrast's family in Atlanta for information leading to the whereabouts of the missing student. Pendergrast, 23 years old, is described as 5-feet, six-inches tall, weighing 110 pounds, blue eyes, brown hair, fair complexion and noticeable dimples. Pendergrast would have likely traveled along Interstate 40 to reach the location where his truck was discovered. The Georgia license plate on the maroon, 1998 Toyota Four-Runner, driven by Pendergrast displayed 934 PT.
