Activities
The Search Dog Alliance of Arkansas will maintain a database of individuals and/or teams that are involved in Search and Rescue in the state of Arkansas or other regions that may provide assistance to requesting agencies. The Alliance will only respond to authorized county, state, or federal agencies requesting services.
The Alliance will sponsor scheduled training activities both field and classroom for members and guest. Instructors and locations will be provided for these training sessions by the Alliance.
The Alliance may assist other recognized Search and Rescue units with obtaining training or specialized response assets upon request.
Alliance personnel may attend seminars or other special education events to enhance the individual or team capabilities and provide educational opportunities for local or regional responders.
A program of field evaluations for the readiness assessment of field K9 SAR teams has been developed and will be implemented by the training section of the Alliance. This is to help provide general assessment of K9 teams capabilities for established guidelines by the federal emergency response plan for Search and Rescue.
The Search Dog Alliance of Arkansas Board of Directors will oversee all organizational activities under the by-laws and polycies established for the Search Dog Alliance of Arkansas and maintain documentation of all activities such as membership, financial and training records
Srvices to Organizations
The Search Dog Alliance of Arkansas when requested will provide consulting and contact information of assets to any authorized agency. The Alliance will not receive any fees for any services provided. It is the intent of the Alliance to provide the requesting agency with contact information of resources such as: K9 Search and Rescue support, Mission consultation and support, Trained Search and Rescue teams, To help fulfill the agencies mission. The Alliance maintains contact information and response status of various trained individuals and teams in the operating region of Arkansas that have agreed to have contact information be provided to requesting agencies through the Alliance network.
