Search Dog Alliance of Arkansas

About

The Search Dog Alliance of Arkansas (SDAOA) was formed in 2007 by Kathy Zasimovich and Jeannette Barnes. The members of SDAOA operate under common laws and certification guidelines that meet national standards. SDAOA travels the state to train, train, and train more together. For information on when we are training next, see the Training Page. We would love you to join us at a training - if you need more information, e-mail k9sar@ipa.net or Jeanette Barnes.

WHO WE WORK WITH:

SDAOA requires approval and call-out by an official law enforcement or other governmental agency. If you need assistance on a search, please have the responsible law enforcement agency request assistance by calling our members' callout agencies. You will find them listed on the Members Page. There is a map included to help you locate the nearest search dogs.

SDAOA trains to the NIMS typing standards created by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. To see the FEMA Guidelines, click HERE.

WHO WE ARE:

SDAOA is a group of SAR K9 Handlers as well as Ground Search Personnel who desire to further the effectiveness of Search and Rescue efforts in the State of Arkansas. By connecting handlers throughout the state, the Alliance aims to create a network of professional, capable dog teams which are readily available if the need arises.
