Trailing:
Dale Dohms
Dale Dohms is a 21-year veteran of law enforcement, currently a Sergeant with the Dunn County Sheriff's Department in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He also has been the only Bloodhound Handler for the Sheriff's Department for 12 years. Sgt. Dohms responds to an average of 45 calls per year. He has tracked in nine different counties within the state of Wisconsin including murder cases, lost children, elderly "walk aways" and all other types of criminal cases. He has assisted several tactical teams in the Dunn County area. Jett, Dale's current K-9 partner of five years, was activated into full service at the age of 7 months.

Charlie Douthett
Indiana Police Officer 1986-2008 and retired from the Porter County Sheriff's Department. Certified Instructor by the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and an FBI certified bomb technician and the only Bloodhound handler for the Sheriff's Department. Studied Bloodhound handling under the watchful eye of Mr. Glenn Rimbey and compiled the study of "Reading your Bloodhound" a handout used by handlers across the United States. Have assisted numerous local, state and federal agencies across the Midwest with numerous cases in the Chicago area. Helped setup and conduct some of the explosive post blast scent experiments that sparked the renewed interest in the federal use of bloodhounds across the United States.

Debbie Goebels
Debbie has been active in K-9 SAR since 1997. She is a founder of the Central Alabama Search Dog Association. Has been an instructor in Alabama, Florida, Wisconsin, Mississippi and Arkansas. Debbie has certified dogs in trailing, air scent and cadaver. She currently works a Bloodhound in trailing, two German Shepherds in cadaver and has one Belgian Malinois in training.

Carolyn Knapp
Carolyn has been the "dope on the end of the rope," running behind a bloodhound for almost 30 years. She has worked with various Law Enforcement agencies across the country in Missouri, Iowa, Illinois, Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, Kansas and Colorado.
Carolyn instructs at seminars upon invitation. She has taught at Canine Search and Recovery, Inc. seminars for several years. She has also taught at the Arkansas Search and Rescue Working Dog Seminar, Piney Creek's Annual Search Dog Training Days, 4 Corners Search and Rescue, Missouri K9 Search and Rescue, TNC SAR invitational weekends. Carolyn also trains with interested parties on an individual or small goup basis. She instructs both trailing-beginning, advanced and urban as well as cadaver.

Carolyn believes that when you quit learning, it's time to hang up the harness. She not only instructs, but attends seminars related to SAR. Her continued education include search management, CERT, Inland SAR, FEMA classes and lost person behavior. Carolyn has written various articles on starting and working a trailing dog, trail ideas, and other search basics. She has also done video on scent theory and urban trailing. Carolyn enjoys both working with new dogs and handlers as well as problem solving with advanced dogs and handlers. Every trail/problem should have a purpose is on of Carolyn's mottos, as is - use what works for you and your dog.

Kim Watson
Kim completed full time police academy at Weatherford College, Texas in 1997. Certified Texas Peace Officer and commissioned by Jack County Sheriff's Department in September 1997 as a Reserve Deputy. She has served as a Reserve Deputy Canine from 1997 to present. She was added as a narcotics canine handler in 2002 with K9 Fire, trained by Kimberly Watson and Clyde Watson and certified in Franklin, NC by Carolina Command Dog and Police Services lead trainer, Mark Davis and Asst. Police Chief, Jerry DeHart. Kim is also an active canine handler with Parker County Search and Rescue, Weatherford, TX. She has instructed in several states to include NOCDS in Mississippi, Appomatox Virginia, Watertown South Dakota and Arkansas' 1st, 2nd and 3rd Working Dog Seminar. She has trained at least 6 K9 partners. Her current K9 partner is Judge, "The Judge of Jack County" a bloodhound and Fire a Belgian Malinois in narcotics.

Water Cadaver:
Lisa Higgins
Along with her daughter Troi-Marie and Dee Wild, Lisa is co-founder of LaSAR Dog Team. She is a nationally certified HRD canine handler who has responded to over 300 searches across the United States, Vancouver, British Columbia, and Puerto Rico with her canine partners. She works regularly for the Forensic Canine Program, Evidence Response Team Unit, for the FBI. She is one of two handlers qualified as subject matter "Expert" in canine body recovery in New Orleans Criminal Courts. Lisa has worked in law enforcement since 1978 beginning with Pearl River Police Department then in 1991 with St. Tammany Parish Sheriff's Office. In June of 2008, she retired as SSgt. Special Operations Division, serving with both the Mounted Division and K-9 SAR units. She is a member of the Federal DMORT Region VI Team and Louisiana Mass Fatalities Taskforce. Lisa has also co-authored several articles and a book chapter on water search and recovery.

Water Cadaver:
Clyde Watson
Clyde has been a certified Texas Peace Officer since 1992. He graduated in 1993 from the Narcotics K9 handler program in Austin, Texas. Clyde served as a Jack County Sheriff's Deputy and full-time K9 narcotics handler from 1992-1998. He handled K9 Mars who was cross trained for tracking. He received recognition for criminal pursuits and fugitive arrests with his K9. He was a Cross Timbers Narcotics TASK Force agent for 19 months. He is currently a State Public Lands Peace Officer in Jacksboro, TX. He is a member of the First Response Hurricane Disaster tEam for Texas Parks and Wildlife and has deployed for Hurricanes Rita and Ike. He has received training in the National Incident Management System and an active canine hadler with Parker County Search and Rescue, Weatherford, TX.

Clyde is a Master Trainer with the Texas Police Canine Association. He is CEO and Training Coordinator for The Alliance of Search K9's and has taught at numerous seminars in various states to include, TASK seminars, NOCDS in Mississippi, Appomatox, Virginia, Houston Texas and Arkansas' 2nd and 3rd Annual Working Dog Seminar. Clyd has trained 7 K9's to include his current partner Clementine a bloodhound and Fire a Belgian Malinois cross trained narcotics/hrd.

Land Cadaver:
Charlotte Allmann
Charlotte has been involved in SAR training since 1999, and is currently certified with NNDDA, land and water cadaver. She has been training dogs for more than 30 years in obedience, and more recently in agility, freestyle, tracking and human remains detection. She teaches classes for an all-breed obedience club as well as a private dog training business, where the goal is to build a solid foundation and train people to train their dogs. Charlotte is a founder of Wisconsin Interstate Search and Recovery K9 Team, has served as president and training coordinator since 2004. She handles two PBGV's; Cindy Lou, tracking, and Clue, HRD. WISARK9 specializes in hrd searches, land and water, general missing persons searches, old, cold cases in urban, suburban and wilderness surroundings. Charlotte is a licensed insurance agent, a graphic designer/art director, dog training instructor and teacher in adult post-secondary education.

Land Cadaver:
Brad Dennis
Brad is the Director of Search Operations for the KlaasKids Foundation's National Search Center for Missing Children. He has over twent years of experience in search and rescue and disaster response. He has managed search efforts for over 60 missing/abducted children around the country including, managing the search following the abduction of Polly Klaas. He has instructed thousands in search and rescue procedures, teaches seminars nationwide, and is an instructor for the National Association of Search and Rescue (NASAR). He serves as a NASAR Coordinator for the Search and Rescue Technician program and their K-9 certification program. He has completed numerous search management, law enforcement investigative and forensics training courses. He authored the "Predatory Abduction Search Management" course offered to law enforcement agencies.

He is a certified SAR Manager/Incident Commander, K-9 Evaluator/Handler, Victim Advocate and Search and Rescue technician and serves as C0-Director of Gulf Coast Search and Recovery K-9's, Inc. in Pensacola, Florida.
Mr. Dennis retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief Petty Officer.

Area Search:
John Burdue
John has been involved in SAR missions for the South Arkansas region since 1974 and he is the Training Officer for the Union County Sheriff's SAR team. He is a Paramedic, Training Officer with ProMed Ambulance, member of the Union County LEPC. He is Vice President for SDAOA (Search Dog Alliance of Arkansas). He has handled and trained K9's since 2003. His current partner is Savanna, a German Sheppard who is mission ready in Wilderness Air Scent. He is currently training K9 Kimmie, a Lab for Disaster. He is a SARTECH III, Instructor for ADEM in the IC system, K9 Obedience instructor for SouthArk Community College. He has responded to many local disasters to include SAR, weather and industrial. John is the Medical Strike Team Leader for Katrina response.

Area Search:
Judy Otto
Judy has been training SAR dogs for 13 years, and has qualified with three canines in air scenting, HRD, and other disciplines. She has served as K-9 leader of the Marshall County (MS) Sheriff's Department SAR Team, and currently serves as Training Coordinator for the Mid-South SAR Dog Association. She has previously served as an auxiliary deputy and as a K9 course instructor for various conferences and seminars, including SDAOA seminar. She has taught obedience classes for more than 24 years, and is currently mission-ready with Clark Kent, her Canine SAR Tech III Area Search partner.
